Farmington swears in Public Safety Officer Erin Moylan

Public Safety Officer Erin Moylan was sworn in at the Feb. 17 City Council meeting. Chief O'Hanneson administered the oath and invited Moylans sister Melissa to pin the badge as family members and council members attended.
The chief described the oath as both a legal and moral commitment to uphold the constitutions of the United States and Michigan and to serve the community. He pledged departmental support for Moylans training and safety and encouraged the new officer to uphold high standards of conduct.
Council members and the mayor welcomed Moylan to the department. The ceremony included a brief introduction to Moylans background: she graduated from Farmington High School in 2019, attended Schoolcraft College and the Wayne County Regional Police Academy, and joined the Farmington Public Safety Department after serving as a PSA.
