MedStar Fort Lincoln offers community programs and 'Dinner with a Doc' at Colmar Manor meeting

Dr. Jamie Hill Daniel introduced the clinic as a long-standing local training site that provides primary care from newborns through adult medicine and emphasized the center's community engagement. "We have been at that location for 46 years," Dr. Hill Daniel said, noting the clinic offers prenatal care, women's health, procedural care, integrated behavioral health and community health workers to help patients navigate chronic disease management.
Paula Davis Wilborn, a community health educator with MedStar, said the clinic conducts outreach to seniors, provides health-education materials in English and Spanish, and runs programs such as "Safe Babies, Safe Moms," which includes developmental screening and early-childhood support. She also described a Saturday walk-in clinic schedule (8 a.m. to noon) and said the clinic accepts most insurance and new patients.
The mayor and residents praised the clinic for improving local health literacy; one resident said the clinic helped improve her diabetes control and encouraged others to participate in upcoming community events such as a "Dinner with a Doc" series. MedStar staff invited the town to request health talks, workshops and collaborative events to address hypertension, diabetes, obesity and other conditions.
MedStar representatives said they are interested in expanding outreach across neighboring Port Towns and will coordinate with the town administration and community groups to plan events.
