Trappe — The Trappe Town Council on Oct. 2 directed Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan to draft a procurement ordinance for introduction at the November meeting that follows a model used by another town but removes the requirement that the Town accept the lowest bidder.
Attorney Ryan told the Council she reviewed a proposed revision that increases procurement amounts and explained the changes. After discussion the Council asked Ryan to draft an ordinance mirroring the example but without the lowest-bid requirement; the draft ordinance will be introduced in November for Council consideration.
