Rebecca Sheehan, Clerk-Treasurer, presented the Village’s April revenue report and department receipts. The Clerk’s office reported revenues from taxes, licenses and court fines and provided monthly totals for departmental ledgers in the minutes. Sheehan and Deputy Mayor Madhvi Nijjar said the Village expects 2025–26 tax bills to be mailed by the end of May and that residents may begin paying them in person or online starting June 1; the Clerk’s office asked cash payers to bring exact change.
On grants the Clerk’s office reported it had applied for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Year 51 funding to support senior programming, ADA compliance updates and residential rehabilitation and that the Justice Court Assistance Program (JCAP) awarded approximately $27,552.50 to the Village, with 180 days to use the funds for a new phone system and document-scanning services.
Deputy Mayor Nijjar also noted the Clerk’s office is seeking a college intern for the summer and reminded residents of online payment options and assistance available through Village Hall.
