Town Board adopts 2026 budget, sets $312,853.30 tax levy

The Town Board of Little Falls adopted its 2026 budget at a regular meeting on Nov. 11, 2025, approving total appropriations of $1,120,098.79 and a tax levy of $312,853.30 by unanimous roll-call vote.
The roll call on Resolution #92 recorded Supervisor Dan Casler and Councilmen Anthony Viscomi, Kirk Schwasnick and Mitch Soules voting aye. The board noted that a public hearing on the budget had been held earlier that evening and that there were no comments against the proposal.
The budget document presented to the board showed general fund appropriations of $299,893.00 with revenues of $254,437.13 and an estimated fund balance of $9,902.57, leaving $35,553.30 to be raised by levy for the general fund. The Highway Fund listed appropriations of $743,900.00, revenues of $466,600.00 and $277,300.00 to be raised by levy. Special districts carry a tax levy of $76,305.79. The packet also lists a “State Cap Allow” line and a stated state percent increase allowed of 3.00% as presented to the board.
Town Clerk Sandra Regan was directed to deliver two certified copies of the adopted budget to the supervisor. The board took no further budget action during the meeting.
The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Dec. 9, 2025, immediately following the public hearing on the proposed wind-farm moratorium.
