The board also approved three out‑of‑state student trips. The Shawano Community High School Jazz Band was approved to participate in festivals at Rolling Meadows and Purdue; Choir, Band and Orchestra were approved to visit Minneapolis in June. Christine McKinnies moved to approve the field trips; Bobbie Lemerond seconded and the minutes record the listed members as "aye" and the motion carried.
Administrators reported other district highlights during the meeting, including FFA degree students and athletic achievements; the superintendent thanked the community for passing the district referendum, though no vote totals or funding breakdown were provided at the meeting.
