Shawano board adopts package of NEOLA policy updates

The Shawano School District Board of Education voted unanimously Dec. 9 to adopt a package of NEOLA technical policy revisions that the district's Policy Committee had reviewed in November. Superintendent Kurt Krizan presented the list of affected policies, which included policy numbers such as 0164, 2131, 2340, 3120.08, 3431, 4162 and many others.
Frank Kugel moved to approve the policy updates and Al Pyatskowit seconded. The roll-call vote recorded unanimous approval by the members present.
The updates were presented as technical revisions; the meeting record does not include a policy-by-policy discussion of substantive changes. Board members accepted the committee's recommendation to adopt the package at this meeting.
