Waco proposes CDBG and HOME allocations, sets June–July public‑comment period

Timing and next steps: if the council supports the recommendations, staff will open a public comment period June 23–July 23 with public hearings scheduled June 16 and Aug. 4; a resolution adopting the annual action plan and funding recommendations is planned for the August 4 meeting, and the plan must be submitted to HUD by Aug. 16.
Price said allocations comply with HUD rules including limits on administrative and public‑service caps and national objectives (benefit to low‑ and moderate‑income persons, elimination of blight, or urgent community need).
