The Byram Township Council unanimously approved a consent agenda and related motions at its June 16 meeting, authorizing routine licenses, appointments and contracting actions.
Council approved a slate of liquor-license renewals effective July 1, 2026, including renewals for Byram Beverage Inc.; Freddys Bar & Grill; Tomahawk Lake; Mosaico Tavern LLC; Golden Nugget Saloon; Plan Two LLC; Salt Bar LLC; Andover Wine and Liquors Inc.; and 263 Route 206 Holdings LLC. The consent list also included a 50/50 raffle license for Lakeland Emergency Squad and a resolution appointing Aaron Wilson as township tax assessor.
Other approved items included a municipal alliance coordinator appointment, authorization to acquire tree removal and related services under the Morris County Cooperative Pricing Council, authorizations for fire pump preventive maintenance and repair, removal of dead trees from open-space parcels funded from the Open Space Trust Fund, and a purchase not to exceed $7,995 for replacement of a well pump for the irrigation system at C.O. Johnson Park.
The council also approved Resolution No. 131-2026, described on the agenda as approving an attached Consent Order Conditional Compliance Certification. The motion and roll-call votes on the consent agenda and Resolution No. 131-2026 were recorded as unanimous.
Council motions on routine items followed the meeting's standard practice: many actions were moved by Councilwoman Franco and seconded by Councilman Proctor and carried with all members voting yes. No member registered a no vote, abstention or absence for the recorded motions. The meeting adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
