Council unanimously approves consent agenda, names Shannon Deberle mayor pro tem

The council adopted the consent agenda (items F1–F5), which covered minutes, multiple board and committee appointments and two procurement/resolution items related to public works and utilities. Councilwoman Karen Brennan nominated Council Member Shannon Deberle for mayor pro tem; the motion to approve the consent agenda, which included the mayor pro tem selection, passed unanimously.
City Secretary Kelly Ballard read the appointments that will fill liaison and committee roles (for example, the Keller Economic Development Board, finance committee and the Keller Sports Park task force). The presiding official praised Deberle’s attendance record and said Deberle brings "innovative ideas" to the council.
