Butner representatives and local volunteers described 10 years of local anti‑litter work — "Beautify Butner Day" and annual sweeps — and emphasized the role of municipal enforcement, community volunteers and cooperation with quarry operators on cleanup. County leaders said the campaign is intended to be citizen‑led and low‑maintenance for county staff, with the county serving primarily as a convener and information hub.
