Shell Lake Council approves minutes, vouchers and liquor license; appoints alternate to ZBA

The Shell Lake City Council voted on routine business and a small slate of new-business items at its March 9 meeting.
Early in the meeting the council unanimously approved the Feb. 9 meeting minutes (motion by Ken Schultz, seconded by Mike Andrews). Finance Chair Mike Andrews presented financial-administration items later in the agenda; the council unanimously approved vouchers numbered 123-234 after discussion (motion by Ken Schultz, seconded by Steve Byrd).
Under new business, the council unanimously approved a Class B beer license and a Class C liquor license (wine only) for the Shell Lake Arts Center (motion by Mike Andrews, seconded by Rob Anderson). Mayor Rowie Hansberger announced the appointment of John Nesheim as an alternate to the Zoning Board of Appeals. Michelle McIntosh introduced herself to the chambers and said she is running as a write-in candidate in the April election. Ken Schultz moved, seconded by Mike Andrews, to adjourn at 8:20 p.m.; the motion carried and the meeting ended.
