Communications director highlights student wins, summer programs in 'Super News'

Miss Bell, the district’s communications director, presented the monthly communications update at the St. Bernard Parish School Board meeting and introduced the district’s Super News segment showcasing student accomplishments and summer offerings.
Tony Morales, the district’s coordinator of child welfare and special projects, joined the presentation and described his long service to the district and its communities. The Super News segment recognized several district achievements: academic teams’ travel and awards at a national Academic Games tournament, Chalmette High’s ProStart team placing second nationally, student art and tech showcases, and a graduating class that earned more than $30,000,000 in scholarship offers.
Student reporters from multiple schools — including Adela Johnson, Mallory Kate Wilson and Harrison Nunez — presented school-specific news, and the board thanked the student announcers for their work. Miss Bell also noted summer STEAM camp and preschool registration information and encouraged families to contact the district office for more details.
The board applauded the student and staff recognitions and returned to business. The communications presentation was informational and did not require board action.
