Merrimac committee sets Sept. 26 Food Truck Block Party and Oct. 17 Passport Thru Merrimac, assigns logistics tasks

The Merrimac 150th Celebration Committee scheduled its Food Truck Block Party for Sept. 26, 2026 and the Passport Thru Merrimac event for Oct. 17, 2026, with eight locations planned for the passport event.

Larry Fisher (committee member) was assigned to advance arrangements with a food-truck company and to confirm whether Waterhouse Field is an acceptable location. Rob Gustison (committee member) was assigned to contact local businesses to request use of parking for the Sept. 26 event and to create a slideshow of time-capsule submissions for the April 11 ceremony. Cindy Quinn (committee member) was noted as the contact for Passport Thru Merrimac planning.
Members in parentheses were asked to research event details and report back at a future meeting. The committee set the next meeting for April 30 at 6:00 PM at the Merrimac Police Department Conference Room to follow up on these assignments.
