Sterling selectmen approve minutes, $34,061.46 in invoices and post road-paving RFP

At its July 1 meeting the Sterling Board of Selectmen unanimously approved several routine administrative actions, including minutes, invoices and the posting of a road-paving request for proposals.
Patricia Massey moved, and Ronald Whitcomb seconded, to approve the amended May 20, 2026 and June 3, 2026 regular meeting minutes; both motions carried 3-0. Whitcomb moved and Massey seconded approval of the June 17, 2026 minutes; that motion also carried 3-0.
Selectmen voted 3-0 to approve monthly invoices totaling $34,061.46; the Treasurer’s report was reviewed. The board also agreed to add approval to post an RFP for road paving to the agenda; after that addition, Whitcomb moved and Massey seconded a motion to approve posting the RFP, which passed 3-0.
Under Unfinished Business the board recorded that a meeting will be scheduled to discuss the sale of an old school bus with Kim Gunn, Bob Salisbury, Hunter Wood and Ted Friend; no sale vote was taken.
