Shell Lake council approves street-use permits, annual liquor licenses and vouchers

At its June 9 meeting the Shell Lake City Council unanimously approved several routine but community-facing items: street-use permits for upcoming events, the city’s list of liquor/beer/wine licenses for the 2025–2026 licensing year and payment vouchers numbered 478–629.
Mike Andrews moved, and Steve Byrd seconded, to approve street-use permits for the Washburn County Relay for Life on June 13, the Chamber of Commerce July 3 Street Dance, and the Lakeland Family Resource Center Lake Run & Fastest Kids Race on Aug. 30. The motion carried unanimously.
Ken Schultz moved, seconded by Stephen Smith, to approve the liquor, beer and wine licenses applied for on the list provided to the council for the July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 licensing year; the motion passed unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting, Stephen Smith presented Financial Administration minutes and moved, with Ken Schultz seconding, to approve vouchers 478–629; that motion also carried unanimously. No public controversy or opposition to these items was recorded in the minutes.
The council adjourned at 7:58 p.m.
