The board authorized the town supervisor to complete an application to reserve the Lakeland Central School District pool for lifeguard training on specified dates, with the rental cost not to exceed $2,500 and the expense included in the 2026 budget. The request was made on behalf of Parks & Recreation and will support lifeguard training for district lakes and the Putnam Valley Day Camp.
The board revised resolution R26-97 to set bulk drop-off attendant hours to 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for 2026 and appointed Thomas Kerr as a snowplow rider for the 2026 snow season at $18 per hour with no benefits; the board also approved standard building department fees as published on the town website.
Separately, the board introduced a local law (No. 3 of 2026) to restore the disabled-persons exemption; that item will return for final consideration after publication and notice.
