Commission backs Alpha and Omega Chiropractic relocation to Old Towne Keller, forwarding SUP to council

On May 26 the Keller Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7–0 to recommend approval of a special use permit for Alpha and Omega Chiropractic to occupy an existing 1,992‑square‑foot building at 121 Lorraine Street in Old Towne Keller. Staff told the commission the use is considered a medical office under the Unified Development Code and that parking requirements (1 space per 200 sq ft) would set the standard at 10 spaces; six public spaces are currently adjacent to the property plus driveway space.
Applicants Dr. Hannah Treywick and Morgan Thompson told commissioners they specialize in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care and plan to remodel the interior without exterior changes. Treywick said the practice intends to provide complementary, appointment‑only services such as massage therapy and ultrasound, and that they are purchasing the building. "We've been operating in Old Town for the last 4 years, and luckily, we've just been very blessed to need a little bit bigger of a space," Treywick said.
Commissioners asked about parking and potential future expansion; Treywick said there are no immediate plans to build on the back portion of the property. Staff noted mailed notice to nearby property owners and no public comments had been received. The commission moved to recommend approval as presented and the motion passed 7–0; the item will be forwarded to City Council on June 16.
