Council approves U-Haul buffer agreement, new business licenses and renewals

The council on June 1 approved a development agreement and supplemental buffer-zone agreement for Daniels Highway 40 Storage that defines the legal buffer area and restricts equipment parked inside a 6-foot fence to U-Haul business equipment only.
Planner Eric Bunker said the owner agreed to install a fence to separate the RA-5 zone from the commercial zone and that only U-Haul business equipment may be parked within the fenced area. Councilmember Rose asked whether the fence must be installed before equipment arrives; Bunker confirmed yes and said the fence height meets the town's 6-foot requirement. Council approved the business license and supplemental agreement with a roll call vote of Bennett no, Walton yes, Grady yes, Rose yes, Kohler yes.
Council also approved two new business licenses (Service Master by CTR, an emergency restoration business; and Silver Iron Ent LLC dba Rivercrest Rodsmiths, a custom fly-rod building company) and renewed licenses for King Street Productions, Palms Property Management of Utah, LLC, and Stone Cutter Construction. No complaints were reported against the renewing businesses.
Council discussed enforcement recourse if the owner parked non-U-Haul equipment in the fenced area; Planner Bunker said the town would remove the agreement if the terms were violated.
