Kanko Akakpovi, Regional U of M Extension Director, delivered updates on Isanti County Extension activities and outreach. Katie Hagen, U of M Extension ANR (Agriculture and Natural Resources) Educator, presented the 2026 Farm Family of the Year award to the Foster Family in recognition of their contribution to local agriculture.
Separately, Jodi Donnay, director of Isanti County Health and Human Services, provided legislative updates for HHS programs. The board adopted Resolution 2026‑013 to reimburse HHS $4,350 from opioid settlement funds for videography and editing services to produce educational and recovery‑focused videos, with documentation to be retained per county financial policies and opioid settlement reporting requirements.
The presentations offered program updates and community outreach priorities rather than policy decisions; the reimbursement authorization was a discrete board action tied to HHS communications work and opioid‑abatement funding rules. The board’s consent actions also included contract amendments related to Region 7E AMHI for which Isanti County serves as fiscal host and HHS payments and vouchers totaling $333,364.53.
The board will monitor deliverables and reporting related to the videography project and continue routine HHS administrative oversight.
