The board also approved purchase of nine laptops and docking stations for the County Attorney’s office, including one for Victim Services. Commissioner Berg moved the purchase and Commissioner LaRowe seconded; Chairman Duff voted no and the motion passed 4–1.
On land‑use matters the board approved preliminary plats for Maple Ridge Pines and Black Fox Farm, the latter with three conditions including showing a 120‑foot easement setback and upgrading a noncompliant septic system by Nov. 17, 2026. The board also granted an Interim Use Permit to Ryan Osborne for a limited rural business selling utility trailers with 11 conditions and findings of fact, and approved a short‑term rental Interim Use Permit for Scott and Karen Nelson with 19 conditions (capacity limit of six people, quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., a requirement to provide contact information to neighbors within a quarter mile and termination conditions tied to ownership).
The board adopted Resolution 2026‑013 to reimburse Isanti County Health and Human Services $4,350 from opioid settlement funds for videography and editing services provided by Community Blueprint to produce recovery‑focused educational videos; the motion carried unanimously.
The Isanti County Budget Committee presented funding options for the proposed Highway Building, and the board set a public hearing on a proposed wheelage tax for July 7, 2026, at the Isanti County Government Center.
