Plan Commission elects Commissioner Anna Bischoff chair; leaves secretary post vacant

The City of Shrewsbury Plan Commission elected Commissioner Anna Bischoff as chair at its July 29, 2025 meeting and voted not to fill the commission’s secretary position.
Commissioner Paul Sneed nominated Bischoff for chair and Commissioner Patrick Powers seconded the nomination. Commissioner Bischoff also nominated Commissioner Garen Miller, who declined the nomination; Bischoff then accepted. The commission approved the chair appointment by unanimous voice vote.
Earlier on the agenda, Commissioner Patrick Powers moved to approve the July 29 agenda; Commissioner Bischoff seconded and the motion passed by unanimous voice vote. Commissioner Mike McArthur moved to approve the April 30 minutes; Commissioner Bischoff seconded and that motion also passed by unanimous voice vote.
For the secretary role, Commissioner Paul Sneed moved to leave the position unfilled; Commissioner McArthur seconded and the motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
The commission adjourned after the votes. The next meeting is scheduled for August 27, 2025.
