Council approves immediate appointment to Community Improvement Corporation

On July 5 the council approved Mayor Oda's immediate appointment of Paul Oberdorfer to the Community Improvement Corporation (CIC). The appointment was introduced in the personnel report: Oberdorfer, identified as the new president of the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce and CEO of the Troy Development Council, will replace the interim leader and serve a term effective immediately through Dec. 31, 2026. The motion to approve was moved and seconded; a roll call produced affirmative votes and the motion passed.
Council assigned the item to the Personnel committee as the meeting record shows the standard referral language and the personnel process was followed for the appointment.
