A multi-request application by Mark Winkler for a wrecker-service base and several variances at 6557 Amanda Way was deferred by the board to give staff time to assemble a fuller permitting history and clearer imagery.
Planning staff outlined the requests: a special exception for a tow/wrecker service; variance relief for front-yard setback; relief for lot-coverage and detached-accessory square footage beyond the usual 2,000-square-foot allowance for parcels under one acre; and an additional request for roughly 3,046 square feet of detached accessory storage area. Staff and members noted multiple structures on the lot and incomplete or missing permits for several additions.
Commissioners observed much of the noncompliance was self-created and recommended careful fact-finding. After an initial motion to deny was withdrawn, the board agreed to defer the matter until staff can return with a deeper review, including aerial imagery and permit records.
