The West Islip Union Free School District Board approved a slate of personnel and business items at its July 7 meeting.
Personnel actions approved included probationary appointments for Allison Fillipone as assistant principal at Beech Street Middle School and Toni Marie Young as assistant director of special education. The board also approved Rebecca Murray as CBSE chairperson transition coordinator and Francesca Stanko as a secondary English teacher, among other personnel items.
The board approved a memorandum of agreement between the teachers association (listed in the transcript as the West Isom Teachers Association) and the district, and approved a last-chance agreement with Teamsters Local 237 covering operations, food service and transportation. The board accepted an independent auditors' report on benefits detailed testing and approved a corrective action plan in response to the internal audit.
