Council adopts several ordinances on impact fees, zoning and UDC amendments

At its July 7 meeting the Meridian City Council approved multiple ordinances on third reading.
Ordinance 26‑21‑27 (Ada County Emergency Medical Services District Development Impact Fees): The clerk read the ordinance’s title outlining a new chapter to add EMS district impact fees to the Meridian City Code. Councilman Taylor moved to approve the ordinance; the motion was seconded and carried on roll call.
Ordinance 26‑21‑26 (Ada County Jail Development Impact Fees): The clerk read the ordinance adding a chapter establishing county jail impact fees and related definitions, fee administration and appeals. Councilman Taylor moved to adopt the ordinance; the motion was seconded and carried on roll call.
Ordinance 26‑21‑28 (Unified Development Code Section 11.4.3.18 – flex space): The council heard the third reading of an amendment to the Unified Development Code concerning flex space. Councilman Taylor moved to approve and the council approved the motion on roll call.
Ordinance 26‑21‑29 (Rezoning — Sky Bridal): The clerk read the ordinance rezoning about 6.64 acres from R‑8 to R‑15 (portion of Government Lot 3 of Section 4, Township 2 North, Range 1 East, Boise Meridian); Councilman Taylor moved approval, the motion was seconded and the council approved by roll call.
Each ordinance was read by title, moved, seconded and approved; the clerk recorded the ayes and the mayor announced the motions carried. The ordinances will be filed as required with relevant county offices and take effect as provided in each ordinance.
