Council tables Ehlers sewer and stormwater rate proposal to Public Works Committee

An Ehlers representative, Lisa Trobatusky, presented a financial management plan for sewer and stormwater rates and reviewed the history of the last rate increase. Alderperson Gritzmaker asked that the item be reconsidered by the Public Works Committee before returning to council; council agreed and Gritzmaker’s motion to table to Public Works and return in September carried.
Mayor Simpson and Director Vogel discussed street capital projects and coordination with the Ehlers capital list; Vogel said the sewer/stormwater rate proposal could be refined with engineering pricing and that the Public Works Committee is an appropriate next step.
No rate was adopted at the meeting; the council set a September return for more committee review.
