The Village of Boyceville Board met March 9, 2026, at Village Hall and approved the monthly bills and prior meeting minutes while receiving staff reports on library activity, public works operations and Police Department data.
Finance and minutes: the board approved expenses after a motion from Jo Dormanen and a second from Megan Goodell; the motion carried. Trustees also approved minutes for Feb. 9 and Feb. 23 board meetings and a March 5 RU meeting after a motion by Brad Stevens and a second from Shawn Mittlestadt; that motion also carried. The minutes do not record a roll-call tally for either motion.
Staff updates: the Librarian reported 1,398 circulation transactions in February, including 998 checkouts, 932 check-ins and 400 renewals; the library added 34 items and five new patrons and ran programs including story time (12 attendees), a monthly scavenger hunt (28) and teen coffee time (10). Public Works completed storm-drain cleaning, installed a new light pole, fixed a chlorine leak at Well 1, replaced two frozen meters and repaired a water main/service line on Dale Street; crews also jetting a sewer plug on West Street and are working on the sampler at Lift Station 2; the Lift Station 2 pump is being rebuilt by LW Allen. The Police Chief reported the department handled 118 of 131 calls in February 2026 (90%), with increases in traffic stops, accidents, citations and arrests; officers issued 10 citations and made nine arrests; there were no use-of-force incidents or pursuits reported.
Other administrative notes: the clerk said the school was billed $12,052.74 for crossing-guard reimbursement, the new accounts-receivable system rollout is nearly complete, Cross Connection Control notices were distributed to meet the three‑year requirement, election workers and training are scheduled for April 7, and the annual audit is nearing completion with seven outstanding requests. The clerk also reported Reindeer Acres will no longer reimburse the Village for electrical use at the Friendship Garden and that the sign will be removed.
