Village President Paul Baum called a special meeting of the Village of Blue Mounds Board of Trustees to order at 6:00 p.m. on April 23, 2026. Following roll call, trustees voted to approve the bills as presented.
The board approved internal committee and supervisory assignments. Trustees approved the committee appointments placing Bob Messinger and Curt Winter in trustee committee roles. The trustees assigned Curt Winter and Steve Burbank to supervise clerks and police responsibilities and assigned Trustee Bob Messinger and Jeff Lange to supervise Public Works staff Dan and Andy. The motion to approve trustee committee appointments was made by Paul Baum and seconded by Steve Burbank; the motion carried with all trustees recorded as voting in favor.
Trustees also considered resident appointments to advisory bodies. The board confirmed that Trustee Bob Messinger will sit on the Plan Commission, that Jada Hooks will remain on the Board of Review, and that Shannon Amble will be added to the Board of Review. That motion was made by Paul Baum, seconded by Steve Burbank, and carried unanimously.
Trustee Bob Messinger moved to adjourn at 6:30 p.m.; Trustee Steve Burbank seconded and the meeting was adjourned. Minutes were recorded by Beverly Petrolis and show an approval date of May 13, 2026.
The actions taken at the special meeting were procedural in nature: approval of the presented bills, internal trustee committee assignments and confirmations of committee appointments. No votes against or abstentions were recorded in the minutes.
