The Village Board approved hiring Dillet Mechanical to replace furnaces in the fire station, accepting a quote of $8,340 (quote valid 30 days).
Trustees reviewed quotes from several local vendors, compared warranties and vendor histories, and discussed the size and efficiency of replacement units. One trustee noted prior warranty and service problems with another local supplier and supported choosing a vendor with a longer warranty and local responsiveness.
A motion to hire Dillet Mechanical for the work was made, seconded and passed by voice vote. Board members said the work can be completed and paid for before Dec. 31 so the expense can be accounted for in the current fiscal year.
The furnace contract followed the fire‑department monthly report, which included an open‑house announcement and a reminder to drivers to slow down during snow events.
