Summary
Jeff Annis told the Boyceville board the club expects 2,500–3,000 visitors this year and has applied for a $130,000 grant to build a 1,200 sq. ft. structure; the club cited lack of water and sewer at the site as a primary challenge and is exploring options.

Jeff Annis, president of the Northwest Rod and Gun Club, briefed the Village of Boyceville board on April 27 about the club’s operations and infrastructure needs. Annis said membership is roughly 70–90 people and the club anticipates 2,500–3,000 visitors this year. He said the club has applied for a $130,000 grant to build a new 1,200-square-foot building and expects a decision on that application in August.
A central challenge the club identified is the absence of water and sewer services at the site; Annis said the group is exploring options such as installing a well. The club currently maintains its own grounds while Dunn County provides garbage and septic services and the village provides police and road maintenance support.
Why it matters: if the grant is awarded, the club could add a permanent structure that supports public programming and large visitation; the infrastructure shortfalls noted by Annis will affect project feasibility and any required permitting or utility extensions.
Next steps: the club awaits the grant decision expected in August; any municipal involvement in utilities or permitting would require follow-up with village staff and, where applicable, county agencies.
