At its Jan. 13 meeting, the Village of Boaz Board of Trustees approved a series of financial actions including an amendment to the 2025 budgets, the acceptance of December financial reports, payment of bills, renewal of an Equipment Replacement Fund certificate of deposit, and updates to wages and stipends.
Trustee Judy Adrian moved to amend the 2025 General Account by moving $1,000 to General Administration and $100 to Financial Administration from Garbage/Recycling; she also moved to amend the 2025 Sewer Account by moving $300 to Wages and $800 to Lab Testing from Pumps/Parts/Repairs. Trustee Kathy Hansen seconded the motion and it carried. Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Susie Hauri presented the December financial reports for the Sewer Utility and General Account; Trustee Hansen then moved to approve the reports and Trustee Adrian seconded. The Board moved to approve payment of bills after Trustee Adrian's motion and Trustee Hansen's second.
Trustee Hansen also moved to renew the six-month Equipment Replacement Fund (Sewer Utility) certificate of deposit for the same term; Trustee Adrian seconded and the motion carried. Separately, the Board approved an update to wages and stipends for the Village Board, Board of Review, Plan Commission, Chief Maintenance, and the Park & Community Building Cleaner. The minutes do not list specific dollar amounts for the wage and stipend changes or the amounts and interest rates for the renewed certificate of deposit.
