Boaz board cites dilapidated dwelling and reports Main Street nuisance abated

President Jean Nicks reported Michael Reuter of Wisconsin Municipal Building Inspections would be sending certified letters concerning a dilapidated dwelling on Main Street; the Clerk/Treasurer's office had not yet received that letter and Nicks said she would follow up with Reuter. Separately, the Board reported a public nuisance on Main Street involving an unlicensed vehicle and an unlocked refrigerator had been abated. During public comment, Mindi and Dave Jones addressed a certified letter sent by the Board, telling trustees the vehicle had been moved and the refrigerator door secured; two audience members offered additional assistance to the property owners.
The Board noted it will review the Main Street property again after the community's May Clean-up. The minutes do not record fines, timelines for abatement beyond the May review, or whether the certified letters from Wisconsin Municipal Building Inspections had been delivered by the time of the minutes' submission.
