Boaz trustees review sewer utility repairs and order replacement pumps and supplies

The Village of Boaz Board reviewed repair needs and equipment inventory for the Boaz Sewer Utility at its Jan. 13 meeting and instructed staff to standardize inventory tracking and replenish key parts.
President Jean Nicks reported Davy Engineering had emailed about contacting two residents for water-quality trading projects; she will contact one resident and ask Kerry Gies to contact the other. On utility repairs, she said one new-style pump has been rebuilt and a second pump is at ASI for repair; there are presently no new alarm boxes in inventory and two new cables were delivered with incorrect ends. To address shortages, Nicks ordered receptacle connectors, two new pumps, two cords and two alarm boxes. The Board directed maintenance to build a consistent inventory list going forward.
The minutes do not record cost estimates, vendor delivery dates or a schedule for installation. Trustee comments and votes on the repair items were not recorded beyond the inventory and ordering decisions noted in the minutes.
