The Price County Zoning Board of Adjustment elected David Schmidt as chair and Thomas Frane as vice chair and approved Mark Luoma as a regular board member at an organizational meeting July 29 in Phillips.
Members moved several routine organizational items at the meeting convened at 9:00 a.m. David Schmidt was nominated for chair; on a motion by Thomas Frane with a second from Margaret Novak the board cast a unanimous ballot and elected Schmidt, the minutes state. Thomas Frane was nominated for vice chair and, on a motion by Mark Brzeskiewicz with a second from Mark Luoma, the board cast a unanimous ballot for Frane. The minutes record both motions as carried.
The board also approved the minutes of its Aug. 27, 2024 meeting on a motion by Frane with a second from Novak. The board voted to accept Mark Luoma as a regular board member to fill a vacancy; the motion (mover: Frane; seconder: Brzeskiewicz) carried. The minutes note one alternate seat remains open.
The board set its next meeting for July 21, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the courthouse boardroom and adjourned at 9:31 a.m., according to the minutes submitted by County Clerk Meredith Hueckman.
