Health-and-safety items in the minutes include ongoing efforts to remove skunks from town, relocation of a chicken coop from an 11th Street property, and discussion of dog-bite incidents. Beseler asked the City to address an overgrown alley attracting skunks; Councilmember Jeannie Czaplewski said trimming alleys could set an unwanted precedent while Councilmember George Fuller said the City should help when neighbors cannot agree. Public Works reported that crack-sealing on a section of Humboldt is scheduled and that riverfront re-inspections will be scheduled later in the season; council discussion included equipment needs for dock work. Clerk reported five building permits issued this month and that the Board of Appeals approved a conditional-use permit for a business on County Road OO. Council approved payment of bills (motion Beseler, second Czaplewski; all yes) and adjourned (motion Johansen, second Fuller; all yes).
