Staff to pursue feasibility study after one property signals interest for transportation facility

"We have at least one of those property owners that has expressed formal interest for a site that is going to require a full feasibility study on it, to determine if the site would work for this project," the staff member said, adding that other property owners have had only generic conversations so far.
Committee members signaled support for moving forward with a feasibility study but urged caution about disclosure. Staff reminded the committee that if negotiations progress the property addresses and owner identities would be handled in executive session because they would be part of a real estate negotiation.
One committee member asked whether the district should wait until other property owners expressed stronger interest; another argued that weeks matter in the timeline and advocated starting feasibility work now to preserve options.
