Weyauwega council approves $335,782.61 in checks, updates bank signers and fills library board vacancy

At its Jan. 19 meeting the Weyauwega Common Council approved a set of routine financial and administrative actions.
The council voted to approve checks from Dec. 1–31, 2025 totaling $335,782.61 and accepted the monthly financial reports after a motion by Councilmember Shani Appleby and a second from Councilmember Meta Berg; the roll call recorded ayes from Gunderson, Appleby, Gorchals, Berg, Baehnman and Butzin.
The council also approved a sign permit for St. Peter’s Stepping Stones at 312 W Main Street on a motion by Councilmember Chris Gunderson, seconded by Pat Gorchals. Council approved updating Bank First account signers to Mayor Rich Luedke and Council President Chris Gunderson. The council approved operator license applications for Austin Shover and Madylynn Hecht (Dollar General).
On a separate motion, the council appointed Kathryn Beisner to the Library Board to replace Councilmember Shani Appleby; that appointment passed with five ayes and one nay. The transcript does not record which member cast the lone nay.
These approvals were routine motions recorded in the meeting minutes and no additional funding requests or conditions were included in the transcript.
