Commissioners approved the lists of bills for FY25/26 and FY26/27 and ratified outstanding invoices. The minutes record an amended description for one FY25/26 supply item (item #1 was changed from “squirt bottles” to “baking sheets”) and unanimous motions to accept the bills lists. The ratified FY25/26 invoices included a $3,351.35 charge from TLC Floor Center LLC for kitchen flooring; other payments on the lists included a $1,350 cleaning‑services invoice, $1,463 for van tires, and utility charges from Eversource and Frontier.
Ara Wilnas told the commission the Kitchen Floor Project has been completed and the previously leaking dishwasher has been fixed, allowing staff to resume lunches and Meals on Wheels operations in the renovated space. Following that report, Commissioner Blenda Labonne moved and Joan Marshall seconded to contact TLC Flooring to schedule waxing of the new floor; the motion carried unanimously. Labonne then moved and Marshall seconded an amendment to request a quote from TLC Flooring to wax both the new kitchen floor and the dining room; that amendment also passed unanimously.
Wilnas also reported that several contractors have evaluated the facility’s HVAC system but no replacement quotes have yet been received. She suggested hiring an engineer to design a replacement system for competitive bidding. Labonne said the bingo room was “extremely warm” during a recent heat wave and that portable fans were insufficient, underscoring the need to prioritize HVAC repairs or replacement.
The meeting record shows the financial review of detailed line items was deferred to next month because numerous invoices had not yet been posted to the FY25/26 financial report. The commission’s motions to approve and ratify the bills were recorded as unanimous votes.
