White Lake approves MSA contracts for boat-launch and parking project; generator and park work discussed

The Village of White Lake board approved MSA service agreements for construction and design work on a boat-launch and parking project at its Aug. 12 meeting.
MSA representatives Art Bahr and Phil Kriesel presented a service agreement for work reimbursable through the Sport Fishing Grant and Recreational Boating Facilities Grant. Trustees approved construction services for $12,709.50 and design work for $29,273.50 on a motion by Chair Tom Edelman seconded by Trustee Patsy Listle; the motion carried with all aye votes recorded in the minutes.
During unfinished-business remarks, Bahr said a generator grant application is under way and generators have been ordered; the Village has paid Schulz Heating & Cooling $42,725.00 as a half-down payment tied to the generator. Bahr also recommended the Village consider a water-tower recoating and noted that completing utility-board training and an asset-management plan could strengthen 2025 Safe Drinking Water Grant applications.
Bahr and Phil said they would inspect and, if needed, help produce an instructional video for the new kayak launch; Village trustees and representatives from White Lake Little League discussed a proposed dugout replacement project for the ball field, with donated labor and potential cost-sharing on materials to be detailed at a later meeting.
The minutes list funding sources under discussion (Sport Fishing Grant, Recreational Boating Facilities Grant, Safe Drinking Water Grant) but do not include grant award confirmations or a project start date; follow-up and reimbursement details will be managed through the Clerk and MSA.
