White Lake board approves routine business, updates permits and tables Fire Department bylaws

At its April 8 meeting, the Village of White Lake board approved routine business and recorded a set of administrative and permitting updates.
Motions recorded in the minutes included approval of the agenda, prior minutes, and bills/financials (motions by Trustee Patsy Listle and Trustee Frank Skarlupka; all carried "All Ayes"). The board changed the May meeting date to Monday, May 5, 2025, approved Clerk-Treasurer Carol Blawat to attend the REV entrepreneurial conference in Wisconsin Rapids (June 16–18), and tabled the White Lake Fire Department bylaws for consideration at the May meeting.
Trustee reports included a zoning/land-use update and multiple permit entries: tree removal at 886 Lakeside St. (Connie Tesheneck), building work for Robbins Flooring at 747 Bissell St., commercial roof work, a 10x20 prefab shed at 796 Lakeside St. (Dustin Kerschner), a roof/windows/siding project at 405 Mill St. (Jeff Heinz), and a covered back porch and fence at 401 Mill St. (Kevin Fank). Trustee Listle also reported community maintenance items (a new brush-pile sign) and that 'Iron Mike' fell in on April 6 and will be retrieved.
Clerk Carol Blawat reported dugout repairs (sand delivery and concrete pour planned), noted the April 1 spring election was moved to the school due to power outages, said the community-center refrigerator is not working properly, and reported an accident at lift station #1 on Lake St. has been reported to insurance (costs pending). Public works reported a keyed-alike lock set would cost about $125 for 13 locks.
Oaths of office were administered to incumbents President Tom Edelman and Trustee Patsy Listle (terms April 15, 2025–April 12, 2027). The meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
