The Village of White Lake board approved operational and hour changes for the White Lake Library at its Oct. 8 meeting following a presentation by Toni Edge, interim director with the Antigo Public Library.
Under the new schedule the library will be open Monday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday noon–6 p.m.; it will be closed the first Friday of each month but open the first Saturday from 9 a.m.–noon. John Listle is scheduled to work Wednesday and Thursday 12 p.m.–6 p.m.; Kristi Heistad will staff the remaining hours. The village will continue to pay 50% of only John Listle’s hours, as recorded in the minutes. Trustees approved the changes (motion by Tom Edelman, second by Frank Skarlupka; all ayes).
Minutes note the library hopes the adjusted hours and added activities will attract more visitors; the minutes do not include a projected cost estimate for the changed schedule beyond the village’s commitment to the specified portion of Listle’s pay.
