Forest Acres council authorizes litigation on Olde Park retaining wall and approves code-enforcement software contract
Summary

After returning from executive session on Feb. 10, the Forest Acres City Council unanimously authorized two actions discussed in closed session.
On a motion by Council member Stephen Oliver, seconded by David Black, the council authorized the City Administrator and City Attorney to initiate code-enforcement litigation related to the Olde Park retaining wall. The minutes note that the litigation authorization follows receipt of legal advice during executive session.
Separately, on a motion by Mayor Pro-tem Haskell Kibler, seconded by Stephen Oliver, the council unanimously approved a contract for the purchase of software for code enforcement and work-order tracking and authorized the City Administrator to sign the contract. The minutes do not include the vendor name, contract amount, or implementation timeline; those procurement details were discussed in executive session and are expected to be included in the contract and subsequent staff reports.
The minutes also record that Council member Ryan Newton recused himself from the executive-session discussion of a sewer easement on city property due to a professional conflict; the recusal applies to that sewer-easement discussion only and was noted in the public minutes.
