Weyauwega council OKs fee changes, capital allocation and several licenses

At its March 17 meeting the Weyauwega Common Council approved a package of finance and licensing items including a capital allocation for equipment, fee changes, and routine licenses.
The council approved taking funds from the 2024 Capital Fund Balance to purchase a lawn mower. It also approved Ordinance 2025-2 to change the annual mobile food business license fee to $50 and set the background check fee at $7. Finance motions included approval of checks dated Feb. 1–28, 2025 totaling $126,218.27 and acceptance of monthly financial statements; a roll call recorded ayes from Berg, Gorchals, Gunderson, Appleby and Baehnman.
Recreation Committee business included a motion to increase the swim lake group rate from $2.50 to $3.00 per person; that rate change and all other swim-lake fees remain unchanged. Council granted operator licenses for Gina VanMaastrict, Lisa Wilson and Taeya Romenesko for Dollar General Market.
Council members framed these votes as routine financial and regulatory housekeeping to keep city services operating and in compliance with local ordinance.
