At its May 18 meeting the Weyauwega Common Council approved checks for the period April 1–30, 2026 totaling $1,049,107.36 and accepted the monthly financial reports.
A roll-call vote on the checks recorded ayes from Councilmembers Craig Braunschwig, Kesha Butzin, Shani Appleby, Chris Gunderson, Pat Gorchals and Chris Bennett; the motion carried with six ayes.
The council also approved Pay Request #2 to Scott Lamers Construction for the Lead Lateral Project and approved a Plan Commission recommendation to have a survey map prepared for the city lot on Mill Pond Circle (five ayes, one abstain by Chris Bennett). Council permitted the sale of a small city lot at Clark and Mill Street to the Gerlachs with the buyers paying closing costs.
Permits approved included the American Legion Post #176 Memorial Day Parade (May 25, 2026) with the permit fee waived, the Weyauwega Fire Department Chicken BBQ street-use permit for June 7, 2026, and the Weyauwega Fire Department Motorcycle Ride street-use permit for July 25, 2026.
