The board opened mowing bids and accepted LC Mowing & Monuments $140 per mowing bid contingent on proof of insurance (motion by Coldren, seconded by Wallman). Three mower bids were reviewed; other offers included $160 from Bill Roy and $135 from New View Landscaping (Jake Thompson Zellmer).
The board reviewed loader proposals with differing trade-in values and financing terms (Titan, Portland, Degenhardt) and voted to table a loader purchase decision (motion by Bever, seconded by O'Rourke).
On utilities, trustees authorized requiring new utility customers to complete an application (motion by Wallman) and discussed past-due accounts, particularly inactive accounts; the board tabled further action on collections. The board voted to pursue ACH/automatic payment options for utility customers (motion by Bever, seconded by Coldren).
Payroll changes were approved to shift pay periods to run Saturday through Friday, with the first pay period affected ending April 10 and paydays on the following Fridays (motion by Bever, seconded by Short). For IT infrastructure the board authorized seeking a second bid from Tomah Tech Hero (Josh) for a wifi switch in the gym (motion by Coldren). Trustees approved purchasing a utility locator for approximately $2,800 (motion by Coldren, seconded by Bever); Rural Water will provide employee training. Campground advertising decisions were deferred to the Buildings & Grounds Committee.
The board approved putting a small parcel between the Hitchin' Post and Margie's on Main up for sale by sealed bid (motion by Wallman, seconded by Bever) and set Open Book for May 4, 2026 from 5-7 p.m. and Board of Review for May 11, 2026 from 5-7 p.m.
All recorded motions in the minutes are marked "all in favor; Motion carried." The board did not provide additional procurement contract details (insurance proof for the mowing contract is pending) or financing choices for the loader purchase, which was tabled for later consideration.
