Secretary Jeremy Sauld reported that lighted buoys were delivered and handed to lake patrol when the crew placed buoys for the year but that many of the units are in poor repair, with broken tops likely caused by boat strikes. Sauld said some buoys behind Wood Island are damaged and that lake patrol Officer Bennett suggested removing a few No Wake buoys in that area and adding hazard buoys where boaters have reported striking underwater hazards.
