Principal Jason Slater recommended a high school music trip to Spokane to see the Broadway production Hamilton on April 18'19; presenters said roughly 20 students were expected to attend and staff members will chaperone. The board moved to approve the trip and passed the motion by voice vote.
Administration presented a resolution to amend the high school budget after high school enrollment exceeded OPI projections; the board approved allocating an additional $6,400 to the high school budget. Anna (operations/administration) said the funds will be incorporated into the high school budget and that the business office will report back on allocation.
The board also approved hiring Brianna Cameron, previously in the substitute pool, as a 1:1 paraprofessional in the elementary following a review of application materials and an interview. Finally, the board approved the high school and elementary claims and accounts by voice votes.
