Whitehall School District board unanimously OKs minutes, Spokane music trip, budget amendment, paraprofessional hire and claims

The board first approved the January 2025 minutes after a motion from Rico Patacini and a second from Chad Hoover. The board then approved a high-school music trip to Spokane on a motion by Patacini, seconded by Laura McDonald; no board members opposed and the motion carried.
Robin Becker moved — and Jenelle White seconded — a resolution to amend the high-school district budget to account for an anticipated enrollment increase; the board recorded no opposition and carried the motion. The board also approved hiring Brianna Cameron as a paraprofessional (motion by Jenelle White, seconded by Rico Patacini) and approved claims and accounts for the elementary and high school (motions by Jenelle White and Chad Hoover, with Laura McDonald and Robin Becker providing seconds). Each motion was recorded as carrying with Opposed: None.
The board received an informational update on independent banking and heard reports from K–5 and 6–12 principals and the superintendent. The meeting adjourned after routine business was completed.
What happens next: the approved budget amendment will be reflected in district financial records; personnel and claims actions were approved at the Feb. 10 meeting.
