Key items included approval of minutes from Sept. 3, 2024; Board Secretary and Treasurer reports for July 2024; budget certifications under N.J.A.C. 6A:23A‑16.10; acceptance of an $89,637.06 tuition placement for Student ID 1537 at CTC Academy of Fair Lawn; and acceptance of a $360 donation for the Woodside Avenue School Library Media Center in honor of a former teacher.
The board approved payment of claims on the August 2024 check register totaling $2,005,646.32 and current bills lists of $491,830.38 and $6,045.47 for September 2024. Payroll actions recorded in the consent agenda include approval of actual payroll for August 2024 (gross wages $381,749.25) and estimated payroll for September 2024 (gross wages $2,100,000.00). The board also approved line‑item transfers for July 2024.
Program and personnel items included approvals of the Nursing Services Plan for 2024–25; School Threat Assessment Team lists; field trips; PTA fundraisers and assemblies; bus emergency evacuation drills for multiple schools; a $2.00/hour pay increase for eligible long‑service playground/lunch aides effective Oct. 1, 2024; specific appointments for playground/lunch aides; per‑diem substitute appointments; use of 30 days from the sick‑day bank for employee #35837301; medical leaves of absence for employees #35837301 and #4998; zero periods and collaborative preparations; and an Extended Day Academic Support program using Local and Title I A funds from Oct. 7, 2024 through May 9, 2025.
The board also approved a lease with the Wyckoff Family YMCA to provide on‑site after‑school care for the three elementary schools at $1,133.00 per month for the 2024–25 school year (Sept. 5–June 30).
